Brazoria County Commissioners Court on Monday voted unanimously to approve an application for the establishment of INEOS USA, LLC Reinvestment Zone No. 3 and tax abatement for $1.24 billion in improvements.

INEOS plans to build a new purified ethylene oxide and alkoxylation production facility. The county will abate 100 percent of property taxes on the value of improvements for a period of 10 years.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to approve an application for the establishment of PRAXAIR, Inc. Reinvestment Zone No. 2 and tax abatement $232,300,000 in improvements.

PRAXAIR plans to build a new hydrogen production facility. The county will abate taxes for 100 percent of the value of improvements for a 7 year period.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to reappoint William Baker, Robert Kay and Randy Hester to the Brazoria County Emergency Services District Board of Commissioners.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to reappoint Tim Fox, Jason McCaffety and Chris Motley to the Emergency Services District No. 2 Board of Commissioners.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to reappoint Darrell Valusek, Matt Glaves and Frank Hagdorn to the Emergency Services District No. 3 Board of Commissioners.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to adopt a resolution supporting the submission of a grant application for the Brazoria County Domestic Violence Court Program. The county will seek a grant through the Texas Governor's Office, Criminal Justice Division.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to accept a petition for the establishment of Brazoria County Emergency Services District No. 6.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to authorize the district attorney to file suit against Matt Baldridge, individually and doing business as Texas Star Surveying, Ralph Hennessy, and any responsible party for negligence, as discussed in closed session.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to authorize the district attorney to file suit against Kevin Morgan and any responsible party for public nuisance in connection with operations occurring or near 13610 Barton Meadow Court in Rosharon, Texas, as discussed in closed session.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to obtain the services of John Cone for the sale of property owned in fee by the county, as discussed in closed session.

The commissioners court took no action related to any other items discussed in closed session.
