Dickinson City Council on Tuesday voted unanimously to approve an agreement with Galveston County to conduct the city's May 4, 2019 General Election.

Early voting for the election will be held April 22-26 and April 29-30.

The city council voted unanimously to adopt a resolution for the Galveston County Tax Assessor-Collector's Office to perform assessment and collection duties for the city's property taxes, with a fee of $0.21 per parcel.

The city council voted unanimously to approve an agreement with Strategic Government Resources, Inc. for the provision of interim public works director services.

The city council voted unanimously to grant a specific use permit to allow the operation of a bar at 1001 FM 646.

The city council voted unanimously to grant a specific use permit to allow the operation of a bar near the corner of FM 517 and Betwood Bay Drive.

The city council took no action resulting from closed session discussions regarding pending litigation, specifically the Armstrong lawsuit.

All other items were approved by unanimous vote. All members were present. Agenda
