This Week on Stage

Performances and concerts this week on stage in the Gulf Coast area include “The Carpenter” in Houston and “Intimate Apparel” in Beaumont.

The Alley Theatre in Houston will open its production of “The Carpenter” on Friday at 8 p.m.

Additional performances are on Saturday at 8 p.m. and on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. The show runs through February 10.

Beaumont Community Players will kick off their production of “Intimate Apparel” on Friday at 7:30 p.m.

An additional performance is on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. The show runs through February 2.

The Grand 1894 Opera House in Galveston will present The Oak Ridge Boys in concert on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and on Sunday at 3 p.m.

“One of country music’s longest-running groups, The Oak Ridge Boys have one of the most distinctive and recognizable sounds in the music industry,” said a news release. “Their four-part harmonies and upbeat songs have resulted in dozens of Country hits, earning them Grammy, Dove, CMA, and ACM awards, plus garnering them a host of other industry and fan accolades.” News Release

Main Street Theater will kick off its production of “The Secretary” on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at Rice Village.

An additional performance is on Sunday at 3 p.m. The show runs through February 10.

Island ETC, East-End Theatre Company in Galveston wraps up its production of “Lost Girls” this week.

Performances are Thursday through Saturday at 8 p.m.

Clear Creek Community Theatre in Nassau Bay continues with “Verdict” this week.

Performances are on Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. and on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. The show runs through January 27.

Upcoming events include “Nightwatch”, opening February 1 at Bay Area Harbour Playhouse in Dickinson, and “Mamma Mia!”, presented by Theatre Under the Stars in Houston and opening February 19.
