Missouri City City Council
by Garrett Bryce
Wednesday, January 23, 2019

Missouri City City Council on Tuesday voted unanimously to adopt a resolution affirming the commitment of the city council to the proposed Missouri City Veterans Memorial Project.

The city council had previously voted to affirm its support of the memorial, which is being planned for construction in partnership with the Missouri City Parks Foundation. Due to the transition of leadership on the city council, funders of the memorial have asked for the city council to reaffirm their commitment.

The city council voted unanimously to postpone until the next regular council meeting the appointment of members to each of the tax increment reinvestment zone boards of directors.

The city council voted unanimously to submit an application for a Community Development Block Grant - Disaster Recovery to the Texas General Land Office for infrastructure funding of $954,306 towards the Cangelosi Detention Improvement Project.

The city council voted unanimously to approve the lease of 76 golf carts.

All other items were approved by unanimous vote. Mayor Yolanda Ford and Council Member Jeffrey L. Boney were absent. Agenda
