Tuesday, January 29, 2019

La Porte City Council on Monday voted unanimously to appoint Karen Wheeler-Hall to the vacant At-Large A Position on the Planning and Zoning Commission.

The city council voted unanimously to approve a professional services contract with Huitt Zollars for the Public Works Facility Needs Assessment Project.

The city council voted unanimously to approve a contract with the Gulf Coast Authority for the treatment of domestic sewage/municipal waste.

The contract relates to water treatment from southern La Porte, formerly the Bay Municipal Utility District, which had been annexed by the city in the 1980s. The new contract's rates are based on daily flows.

The city council discussed, but took no formal action resulting from executive session discussions regarding the positions of the city prosecutor. The item will be revisited quarterly.

The city council voted unanimously to approve a 4 percent pay increase for City Manager Corby Alexander, as discussed in closed session.

All other items were approved by unanimous vote. All members were present. Agenda
