The Board of Trustees of the Galveston Wharves today voted 5-1, with Elizabeth Beeton opposed, to approve a resolution concerning the Coastal Barrier Feasibility Study and United States Army Corps of Engineers Tentatively Selected Plan.

Beeton said that she “was not crazy about” the port’s correspondence to the Corps of Engineers.

“It goes way beyond our reach,” she said.

The board voted unanimously to approve a lump sum proposal by High Tide Land Surveying, LLC for an amount of $77,000 for the topographic survey of Pier 10.

The board voted unanimously to accept the Portfolio Performance Analysis Report, Summary of Investment Performance Report and Investment Detail of the Galveston Wharves Pension Plan for the period ending December 31, 2018.

All other agenda items were approved unanimously with Todd P. Sullivan absent. Agenda
