Sunday, February 03, 2019

Austin – The Texas Travel Industry Association (TTIA) will celebrate the strength and unity of the Travel Industry in Texas at the 29th Annual Texas Travel Unity Dinner, held in Austin, TX on February 20, 2019. This year’s featured speakers will be Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick and Speaker of the House Dennis Bonnen.

TTIA President & CEO Dan Decker said, “The Texas Travel Industry is honored to have Lieutenant Governor Patrick and Speaker Bonnen attend Unity Dinner to address the more than 700 Travel & Tourism professionals from all over Texas who attend this event. This is a unique Texas-sized event, that celebrates and highlights how important Travel and Tourism is to Texas communities, businesses, and families. We look forward to hearing the Lieutenant Governor and Speaker’s goals and plans for strengthening Texas and how we can work with them to accomplish those goals.”

TTIA’s Unity Dinner will be held at the Austin Convention Center on Wednesday, February 20, 2019. Approximately 700 Travel Industry professionals from across the state, state legislators, mayors, and city council members will attend the 29th annual event. The evening will include a “Big as Texas” silent auction, live music, and a program focused on the importance of the Travel Industry to the Texas economy.

Travel and Tourism employs over 1.2 million Texans in more than 60,000 businesses working to make Travel and Tourism the second largest export industry in Texas. Travelers to Texas helped to create over $7.0 billion in state and local tax revenues, offsetting the individual tax burdens of Texans.
