Houston police are investigating several incidents that occurred during the weekend, including Sunday's fatal shooting of one woman, the wounding of another woman, and the apparent suicide of a man at 6405 West Bellfort.

Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 6405 West Bellfort 

Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of one woman, the wounding of another woman and the apparent suicide of a man at 6405 West Bellfort about 2:45 a.m. on Sunday (February 3). 

The deceased woman, 35, and the deceased male, 35, were pronounced dead at the scene.  Their identities are pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

A second woman, 58, was transported to an area hospital with gunshot wounds in an unknown condition.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives K. MacDonald and T. Jackson reported: 

The deceased woman and her common-law husband (suspect) got into an argument.  According to the couple's 11-year-old daughter, the suspect produced a firearm and shot his wife and his mother-in-law.  The suspect then shot himself.

Neither the 11-year-old daughter nor her younger sister, 5, were injured in the incident.  Both were released to the custody of family members. 

The investigation is continuing. 

Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 12700 Glenhollow

Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a juvenile male at 12700 Glenhollow about 10:10 p.m. on Sunday (February 3). 

The identity of the deceased male, 12 to 13, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. 

HPD Homicide Division Sergeants K. Meek and J. Horn reported: 

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the above address and found a juvenile male in the middle of the street who had been shot.  He was transported by Houston Fire Department paramedics to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.  A second male, 23, was later transported to Ben Taub General Hospital in stable condition. 

Further investigation determined three juveniles, including the deceased, had attempted to rob the male.  During the robbery attempt, one of the juveniles was shot and the 23-year-old male assaulted.  He managed to drive to another location where paramedics were then called. 

No charges have been filed at this time, as the investigation is continuing.

Investigation into Woman Found Shot at 7900 Grow Lane

Houston police are investigating the shooting of a woman found at 7900 Grow Lane about 2:55 a.m. on Sunday (February 3).  

The victim, Cindi Fajardo, 32, was transported to an area hospital in critical condition with a life-threatening gunshot wound to the head.  

HPD Homicide Division Detectives N. Sharp and K. Fregia reported:  

A witness saw a male suspect dragging a woman (Ms. Fajardo) from the passenger side of his vehicle, described as a silver or gray 2010 Toyota Tundra pickup truck.  The suspect left Fajardo on the side of the road at the above address before getting back into his vehicle and fleeing the scene.  Fajardo was transported by Houston Fire Department paramedics to the hospital.

According to witnesses, Fajardo was seen at a night club having an argument with the suspect prior to them leaving together.  A short time later, she was abandoned at the above location.

Investigation into Fatal Crash at 7900 Rockhill

Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 7900 Rockhill about 1:15 a.m. on Saturday (February 2). 

The identity of the male victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. 

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Rodriguez and Officer M. Nicotra reported: 

The driver of a Saturn Vue was traveling westbound at a high rate of speed on Rockhill and ran the stop sign at the intersection of Ruthby.  The driver lost control of the vehicle and struck an unoccupied white Dodge Ram pickup truck parked on the south curb of Rockhill.  The Saturn then veered to the right and struck a small boulder lining the driveway of a residence, causing the vehicle to roll several times before striking a parked gray Volvo XC90 and the residence at 7959 Rockhill.  The driver of the Saturn died at the scene.  No one inside the residence was injured. 

No other persons or vehicles were involved in the crash. 

Investigation into Fatal Crash at 221 North Haberman Street

A fatal crash that occurred at 221 North Haberman Street about 10:35 a.m. on Saturday (February 2) will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.

The female victim, 71, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where she was pronounced deceased. Her identity is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant S. Maness and Officer D. Nguyen reported:

The victim was unlocking the gate to her residence so her sister-in-law, driving a black Nissan Sentra, could enter.  Her sister-in-law stated her foot slipped off the brake and onto the accelerator, causing the vehicle to drive forward and strike the victim.

The driver remained at the scene and there are currently no charges in this incident.
