Missouri City City Council on Monday voted unanimously to authorize a reimbursement from Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone No. 1 to the city for the Independence Boulevard Project, in the amount of $1,073,434.
The city had advanced funding to TIRZ No. 1 for expenditures for improvements along Independence Boulevard, including paving, drainage, traffic, water line improvements and other related items, as well as sidewalk and infrastructure improvements along Texas Parkway. The expenditures totaled $3,293,696.
The city had previously received a reimbursement of $1,216,750, leaving a balance of $2,076,946 due. The remaining $1,003,512 is due as funds become available.
The city council postponed action regarding appointments to the board of directors for each tax increment reinvestment zone. The item will be considered at the next city council meeting.
The city council voted unanimously to award a $183,690 contract with Bass Construction Co. for the removal and complete replacement of the roof for Fire Station No 4.
The city council voted unanimously to authorize the execution of a contract for the replacement of 10 fleet vehicles for FY2019, in the total amount of $311,623.
