Suspect Wanted, Charged in Fatal Shooting at 7900 Grow Lane
News Release
Monday, February 11, 2019
Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of a woman found at 7900 Grow Lane about 2:55 a.m. on February 3.
The suspect, Wilson Rivera-Madrid (H/m, 27), is charged with murder in the 232nd State District Court. A photo of Rivera-Madrid, who is not in custody, is attached to this news release.
The victim, Cindi Fajardo, 32, was transported to an area hospital in critical condition with a life-threatening gunshot wound to the head. Doctors pronounced her deceased on February 7.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives N. Sharp and K. Fregia reported:
A witness saw a male suspect dragging a woman (Ms. Fajardo) from the passenger side of his vehicle, described as a silver or gray 2010 Toyota Tundra pickup truck. The suspect left Fajardo on the side of the road at the above address before getting back into his vehicle and fleeing the scene. Fajardo was transported by Houston Fire Department paramedics to the hospital.
According to witnesses, Fajardo was seen at a night club having an argument with the suspect prior to them leaving together. A short time later, she was abandoned at the above location.
Further investigation led to the identification of Rivera-Madrid as a suspect on this case and, on February 7, he was charged for his role in Fajardo's death.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Wilson RIvera-Madrid is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
